Eligibility Criteria for Coastal Region Scholarship
- Applicants must hold a domicile or local certificate from Gwadar, Lasbela Hub, Kech (Turbat), or Awaran District of Balochistan.
- Candidates should have completed 12 years of education with a minimum of 50% marks in both Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or their equivalent.
- The completion of SSC and HSSC (or equivalent) should be from an institution located within the defined districts of Balochistan, i.e., Gwadar, Lasbela/Hub, Kech (Turbat), and Awaran.
- Students who are already enrolled in any BS program before the scholarship advertisement, with a maximum of one academic year/session, are eligible to apply.
- The maximum age for applicants is 22 years as of the closing date.
- Applicants must meet the admission criteria set by HEC and the respective university for the BS program.
- Candidates currently benefiting from any other HEC/Government scholarship are not eligible to apply.

Terms and Conditions
- Scholarships will be granted based on a merit and district quota system in accordance with PC-I.
- Applicants must attain a minimum of 50% marks in the scholarship aptitude test conducted by HEC.
- Shortlisting of applicants will rely on the Aptitude Test score (conducted by HEC) and Academic Credentials, with the following weightage/formula: (SSC 10%, HSSC 40%, and Scholarship Aptitude Test 50%).
- The Merit List for scholarships will be compiled based on the online information and data provided by applicants. In the event of any misrepresentation, errors, or omissions, the scholarship may be revoked at any stage.
- Applications and particulars of shortlisted candidates will be reviewed against the defined eligibility criteria.
- Scholarships will be awarded to students pursuing or seeking admission for BS (4 to 5 years) studies at HEC-recognized public and private sector universities and degree-awarding institutions in Pakistan. This encompasses all fields of study, including professional management and accounting certification programs accredited by ICAP and ICMA, equivalent to 16 years of education as recognized by HEC.
- Selected applicants are responsible for securing admission in their designated program of study in Pakistan.
- Scholarship recipients are required to sign an agreement/undertaking before availing the scholarship. The terms and conditions outlined in the agreement/undertaking and award letter will be binding for both parties. Additionally, the scholar must provide a guarantee or surety to fulfill the obligations defined in the agreement/undertaking.
- Final award letters will be issued after securing admission and completing all necessary formalities, including the submission of legal documents.

- You don’t need to send any hard copies of your application or documents at this stage.
- There’s a non-refundable application processing fee of Rs 500/-. You can deposit this fee in Habib Bank Limited, Account Number: 1742 7900 1334 01, with the account titled as “Higher Education Commission” and Branch Code: 1742. Make sure to keep the original bank payment record/slip safe and upload it with your online application. You’ll also need to present the original bank deposit slip at the test center for the examination.

Financial Support
- Tuition Fees and Other Expenses: The scholarship covers tuition fees and other charges, including hostel fees, up to a maximum of Rs. 240,000 per year or the actual expenses, whichever is lower.
- Monthly Living Allowance: Scholars receive a monthly living allowance of Rs. 15,000.
- Book and Travel Allowance: A yearly allowance of Rs. 30,000 is provided for books and travel expenses.
- Hostel Charges: In cases where university hostel accommodation is unavailable, scholars may receive a maximum of Rs. 5,000 per month or the actual charges, whichever is lower, as part of the head university charges.
- Special Opportunities: Financial support is available for a maximum of one scholar per batch in LUMS and IBA Karachi, totaling two scholars.
- Timely Support: Stipends are disbursed to applicants who are already enrolled, starting from the application closing date, and tuition fees are covered from the beginning of the academic session.
